Oven or Cooktop
Mixing Bowl, Covered Pot/Pan
1 pound medium to large shrimp, unpeeled
3/4 cup Bourbon BBQ sauce (more or less, as desired)
Smoky Brisket
Preheat oven to 350º
Place shrimp in a large bowl; add sauce and toss thoroughly
Pour into a pan and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring once.
TIP:If you have a covered pan/dish, such as a dutch oven, you can use peeled shrimp for this recipe. The shell helps maintain the moisture and keeps the shrimp from drying out, which is the same thing a covered dish will do. Also, I've given you the easiest/least attention-intensive method for cooking this dish. By all means though you can choose other ways, such as sauté them in a skillet and then mix with the sauce, skewer them and cook on a grill, and other methods I'm sure. Find what you love best and go for it!
Some serving ideas for you include:
Spoon them on top of a bed of rice (your choice of type and flavor) and top with scallions
Use as a filler for soft tacos or quesadillas and top with your favoriteaccompaniments
Serve in a bowl with french bread to help sop up the juices
Create a salad with the shrimp, grilled corn, black beans, avocado, diced tomatoes, and tortilla strips.
